Activities
Juliana Village is a lively community. There is always the gentle hum of activity and residents are free to be involved as much or as little as they like.
Each year, our self care residents elect their own committee to organise and oversee a broad range of activities. The committee also provides a forum for all residents to discuss Village happenings and issues of interest or concern.
Residents are always encouraged to participate by suggesting what they would like to see or do. Activities and events are listed in our monthly newsletters.
Typical activities include:
- Yearly market day
- Birthday and anniversary celebrations
- Exercise classes
- Art & Craft classes
- Music therapy
- Coffee mornings
- Happy hour with Entertainer
- Bus outings and excursions in the Village Bus
- Morning tea, lunch & shopping outings
- Monthly birthday party with Entertainer
- Games and entertainment
- Raffles
- Church Services
Family and friends are very welcome to join in Village activities; it’s a great way to forge new friendships and become more involved in our community.
Our Lifestyle Support Officers organise activities for our low and high care residents including exercise, crafts and outings.
The activities we offer are influenced directly by our residents. Each resident completes a comprehensive Lifestyle Assessment when they first move into Juliana Village.
Our Lifestyle Support Officers use the responses to develop their programs. Self-care residents are welcome at these activities as well.
